Not completely flat? But Lake Colorados just might see some really fun sur-fable waves by around Thursday or Friday of this week. If so, this could be a really good start to 2019!!
It’s not really the lack of swell we need to worry about this time of year so much. It’s just those 50mph offshore winds.
The low tide has been SUPER MEG LOW, so anything you can think of doing on hard flat sand, now is the time.
Mixed up combo swell… YES PLEASE!!! Just add a couple more feet and it’s ON!
Fun little beginner waves looking almost like a professional surfers skatepark. Ramps for days!
I was pretty bored for the first half hour I got to the beach to shoot, because nobody was even out. No one was out pretty much all day. I guess that means everyone had a GREAT New Years party night last night. The one guy I KNOW I can always count on surfing, rain or shine, or in this case smalll and everyone else is hung over…. is this guy!
The amigo, Cesar “Nam” cracking one off the top, which was also his very first wave of 2019! POW!!!
Stoked… ALWAYS!!
So imagine this shape but about 3-4 maybe 5 feet bigger in a few days…
The other amigo I can always count on when the crowds are at an all time low. Happy New Year Alberto!!
He didn’t waste any time getting out to the lineup either. With those stiff offshore winds, he was practically blown out to the main peak in just a couple minutes.
Some super windy, but still pretty fun waves to be had by just two fellas on New Years day.
The water hasn’t quite gotten to that “Cold” chilly temp yet, but Cesar’s one of the only guys I know who will be only trunking it with no rashy or shirt the entire time. Maniac!!!
Alberto is an aficionado of latin dancing and he SUP’s pretty darn well, so I think it’s safe to say he cruises on the LOVE BOAT, all with some smiles for miles!
On a cool, local non-surfing, but very helpful note for today (while most were still in bed sleeping off their partying from last-night) these super awesome kids, which happen to be the recent soccer champs from Santa Juana, got out there really early today to help with the beach cleanup organized by our amazing Megan Mack Lachi, who never likes to take credit for anything, but the one who’s always doing amazing things for the community here! (Sorry Megan, we all love you, so there! hehe) Thank you everyone who helped participate in helping with the cleanup today!!!
Being caught in love, in the middle of one beautiful closeout! Betcha these two didn’t even know I was placing them in that situation.Alright NSR surf fans, you all ready for a new year of epic waves, surf repots, Instagram madness, and everything else you’re accustomed to seeing from us here at the original surf reporting headquarters at your favorite surf spot in Nicaragua. RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Tuesday’s surf report from Panga Drops, once again we’re talking French Fries. The waves were smaller today, but the shape was arguably slightly better than yesterday. The wind was also a touch lighter.
Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for next set of days. Monday’s surf report is coming your way from Panga Drops, specifically “French Fries”. The swell was close to non-existent, but Pangas did its magic and magnified the lackluster size into something playful and shreddable.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Happy New Year everyone! The NSR Team wishes you tons of good swells and big barrels throughout 2018!
