Somewhere in Nicaragua

Summer time…… and the living’s easy! Oh, that’s right, for all you people who are still in your winter wonder land time zones…. we here are smack dab in our summer; and how chill (not the cold kind) do these people look all cozied up under their umbrella gazing out at the ocean?

See, not that big today, compared to the last few days, but people spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars to go feel the expensive real Aloha of the Hawaiian islands and surf waves that look just about as similar as this. The only difference is, you can do it for a fraction of the price.

To share a wave with your mom, or in this case maybe even getting burned by your mom is maybe about the only time it can and should be acceptable. For she brought you into this world, She can take you out too! hahaha j/k mis amigos! 😉

The ladies were having a complete blast out there. Not sure who this fit dama is, but she was getting a lot of help from Big John. If she was in fact getting a lesson, she is showing how well her teacher is and what a good student she is.

This little dude was dive bombing on all the waves he was catching… a lot like that Pelican in the back ground, that’s about to murder and eat a very unexpecting fish.

This shot reminds me of those really old style art paintings of the early Hawaiian surfers when the artist’s depiction showed them literally surfing the tops of the waves. If you’ve been around the surfing world long enough, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

It was an all time Aloha Sunday Funday for sure, and Lucas couldn’t agree more.  Here’s to a great work week ahead (for those of you who do the Mon-Fri working gigs) and if not, still have a good one! I’ll be back again mañana!  Saludos ~
