Started out early this am. It’s always tough to leave a good wave for hope of a better one, but the boys had already had two days of great conditions and the surf thirst had been placated enough to convince them to explore some of Nicaragua’s other breaks.
The boys had considered a boat trip but decided on travel via land instead. Whatever method of transportation has its advantages and disadvantages, but each method is worth attempting at least once.
Showing us how it’s done.
One of our guests, Robert, shapes his own boards. He was bummed since he elected to rent boards down here instead of bring his own.
Doesn’t seem to be messing with him too bad. Such awesome style. The more I keep doing these reports the more I wish I had a longboard…. If any of you guys are thinking of coming down here and are unsure of whether you should bring one, the answer is YES
The sun was in the perfect position this morning. Here’s a backlit little tube
Super glassy. The more I shoot the more I love this angle.
Alone and unridden. One of many
When the sets came, they were beautiful. Considering the swell was supposed to be dropping, it was surprisingly big.
Yeah. Need I say more?
Pitted

Another super stylish shot. I feel like I’m in the 70’s or 80’s right now
We ran into Billy Cruze, from Surfari. Super stylish surfer. The guys from Surfari always rip.
That’s it for today! The waves here at Hacienda Iguana are no doubt incredible, but there are also a lot of really good, beautiful waves in the surrounding area that are absolutely worth making a trip to visit. Whether it’s by boat or by truck, the guys here at NSR and ADL can get you on some amazing waves if you give us a chance. And if you’re gonna make the effort to make the expedition, why not hire a photographer! Hit us up at NSR and we’ll get you dialed in!As always, feel free to contact us at[email protected]if you’re looking to see if we’ve got any photos of you. To the crew that we saw out in the lineup today, yes, I do have photos of you. Thanks again!
