Hi everyone! Welcome to Monday’s surf report from Panga’s main peak and Spot X. It was super clean at mid-day when I was shooting today.
Meanwhile at Spot X…
The MVP of today’s surf report and AM session was Kai DeLorenzo. His understanding and intuition of Spot X is superior to the rest of us.
Get ready for a lengthy tube sequence from Kai. I think he likes getting barreled at least as much as I do.
His confident take off told me everything I needed to know. He had this barrel in the bag from the start.
It was a fairly deep and lengthy tube. Maybe he was inspired by the recent contest(s) at Pipeline?
There he is! Here comes the tricky exit…
But he carefully navigated the doggy door exit.
Full / complete exit. That’s a 10 – bagger for today Kai.
There was a small group of surfers out at Main Peak. It look a bit more patience out there and the tide was so-so, but it’s hard to turn down sheet glass Pangas.
Pangas will test your ability to surf in the pocket. Speed and rail-work are the primary elements of the game here.
This young fella has the right idea with the choice to execute a roundhouse here.
To close the report we have a legend from the past, kinda like Satoshi Nakamoto haha. You can tell this guy is a legend (non-derogatory), because he’s wearing the super-long classic boardies that go lower than your knees.
Those long-boardies are some of my favorite. They aren’t always the most comfortable, but I kinda like them. The surfer linked together a good combo here. Kai still was the MVP though.
Speaking of Kai-lorado, he also met the winning surf criteria by expressing his stoke from the session. It just takes a couple nuggets at Spot X to make your day. I think tomorrow is forecasted to be a bit bigger and unfortunately some vicious wind is forecasted in the cards, but I’ll bring you tomorrow’s action regardless. Have a good one.
