Hey everyone! Welcome to Tuesday evening’s surf report from Panga Drops. We had another day of marginal waves, but there were still a couple of decent waves right at sunset (again).
John hard carried the report yet again today. I appreciate seeing a sharp top-turn blast as opposed to roundhouses.
It wasn’t all fun and games out there. The wind was a bit side-shore so some of the sections would fold over quickly.
Although it wasn’t firing this evening, it was nice to see some faster waves running over the sandbar of French Fries. At least some faster runners add variety to the photo session haha.
The water was cold again today! This guy made the right move to bring and wear his spring-suit. He’s clearly done some due diligence prior to coming down.
Surfing on rail is the key to success at Pangas on shortboards.
That whitewater section better get ready for what’s coming!

Schwappah! A good bottom turn sets up a solid top turn. (I know you’re getting tired of hearing me say this).
Woah, a rare left! Rights have definitely been dominating the lineup the past few days.
If you zoom in here, you can see the wind blowing the slush up and across the face. It wasn’t as easy as it looked out there this evening. Tomorrow looks pretty similar forecast-wise, but hopefully we get some lighter winds and a bit of a kick up in the size.
