Vinny was the MVP of this morning’s session. He has this board perfectly wired.
Vinny getting this vertical on that specific shape is a testament to how powerful his surfing is.
There were still some empty drainers out there… You could join us for the next time we get a good swell!
Everyone was looking for as much time in the tube as possible this morning.
It required patience, but the best waves I saw today were the rivermouth rights that came in.
Steep drops and fast runners.
Vinny has a really unique surf style and it is very well-suited to the specific type of mid-length boards he rides.
When the wind holds the lip-line up for you, then why not take the high-line!
Vinny had the perfect read and compressed down for the barrel when the wave started to unwind down the sandbar.
This unknown rider got a nice pig-dog barrel despite the slush on the wave face.
He got all the way behind the curtain, leaving only the nose of his board exposed.
Alrighty he’s on the way out, now it’s time to nail the exit.
Mission complete.
One last rider pulling up into a speedy rivermouth right. It’s been all about the barrels lately.
Another day with clean little barrels! Colorados living up to its reputation of being reliable and consistently fun. Tomorrow will likely be a bit smaller, but I bet there were still be some fun waves tomorrow morning. See ya tomorrow.
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. I saw the waves turn on and off about 7 separate times today. The conditions were in constant flux. It just so happened to be that the best window of the day was when I took pictures around 1:00pm.
