Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hey everyone, I hope you’re staying a bit drier than we are here in Iguana haha! Josh here for the next few days. I’m praying for some fairer weather and waves. I grabbed some photos of empty Colorados this morning. Did someone order Choco-chunks for breakfast this morning?
The lineup was empty today and yesterday as the water has been very dirty. This right might’ve had an air section for someone brave though.
The wind had a bit more West today than straight South so some of the faces were clean-ish.
If I had to choose, I would say the deep South peak near the rocks was possibly the best. I saw a couple of mirage-like barrels come through. It’s reasonable that there aren’t surfers out because the water is sketchy though.
Any SUPers keen on surfing the river reformers? Haha!

This left opened up for our ghost rider out there.
A regular footer could’ve found some shade on this right. You’d need night vision goggles though haha.
If you couldn’t see the wave open up on the first section, then maybe this second section would’ve fit the bill?
Victory at sea. If we can get a few good days of offshore then the water would clean up a lot and we’d be back to normal. Looks like the onshore is setting up camp for this month though, so we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled for good windows. Hasta mañana.

Hey amigos! Welcome to Monday’s surf report from French Fries. The waves were pretty much firing when I rocked up to take pictures, but just like yesterday the wind went side-shore as soon as I put the camera away. At least some surfers caught the magic window.
Hey amigos! Welcome to March 1st’s surf report from French Fries. The waves were really fun in the late morning and early afternoon. The wind direction was perfect, but then flipped side-shore right as I went to grab my board haha.
