The only things getting barreled today were logs and branches haha! The wind wasn’t bad in the morning, but came up later in the day.

There were some barrels that looked makable from the beach, but I’m not sure if they would’ve been feasible once paddling for them in the water. A lot of the sand has moved around and been pushed out further toward sea, so maybe the sandbars will be good when we get a favorable wind, water clarity and swell combination.

The chocolate tunnels ran right as well! Split the branches and make the exit haha!

The volume of leaves and small twigs in the water were high. If someone had braved the surf today they may have benefited from wearing goggles to keep their eyes safe from the debris.

Rain here in Nica and on the east coast. We are fortunate to have rain without the extreme wind and storm surge that is impacting Florida.

Had you been tucked in this tube then you would’ve wanted to opt for the low line exit on the way out haha!

Today would’ve been a good day to pull out the “RC” (remote control) surfers to ride the waves.

The river adjacent to the beach-club gushed hard overnight and throughout the day. There are a few more logs and rocks scattered in the river that the kids will need to navigate when they next try their hand at the river novelty wave!

Looks like nature is forming our very own fishing pier (or jetty) one piling at a time! This stump was lodged stuck and made for an interesting step off or chop-hop obstacle. This closes today’s report. Hopefully we don’t get much rain overnight so some of the flooding in the neighborhood is alleviated. Hasta mañana.
RECENT REPORTS

Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Monday morning saw a drop in swell, but it’s not over yet as you can see here.

Well, it’s usually some kind of “Welcome” or Bienvenido to the daily surf report, but as I am sure most of you are aware, we’re getting the full force of Hurricane Julia that made land fall up in the northern region (Blue Fields etc) late last night. Apparently the Corn Islands are without power and..
