Hey everyone! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. The water was notably cleaner today than yesterday, so a few more surfers hit the waves.
A left hook with a big splash haha! I’d give him some extra style points for this end-section snap.
There were still at least a handful of skilled surfers out this morning. Once again, I was impressed with the amount of speed they were able to generate and carry through their maneuvers.
Time to channel your inner ninja for today’s conditions! Being nimble is very advantageous in smaller surf.
The further out of the pocket one drifts, the more that they must round out the cutback. Solid mechanics from this rider.
Relaxed form with a slightly rounded out back. Maybe he’s been watching some Mick Fanning clips?

Check turns on small waves are risky business during heats! But during a free surf where you’re not constrained they work fine.

This guy had the magnet on as all the set waves seemed to march his way. I’ll need to borrow that magnet from him the next time I paddle out!

Looking for a sneaky barrel eh? Well the power wasn’t quite there this morning, but Surfline is calling for a bump in the swell tomorrow. Finger’s crossed we get some tubes. See y’all tomorrow.

Hey everyone! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. The waves were surprisingly bigger today. I thought it would be slightly larger than yesterday, but as the day progressed there were some sets that were head-high and had some push.

Back to work (well maybe for some) Monday. Another drizzly grey day here in Nicaragua. But there’s wave. It was a bit mixed up out there, but enough people out surfing to make somewhat of a report. It definitely felt like a Monday back in the old world I used to live in.
