Howdy everyone! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Colorados. The wind was ripping hard onshore this morning. Likely one of the windier days I’ve seen this year.
The lineup was (justifiably) empty. So we can just mind-surf this morning’s wind swell.
Didn’t believe me about the wind? Well the palm trees will tell you the exact same thing I did haha!
The tide was very low this morning, so there was plenty of energy unwinding and detonating on the south-side boulders.
These two doggies had the most fun this morning. They had the wide-open low-tide beach all to themselves. Chase and tag.
Choose your air-section: the right or the left?
I took today’s photos at low-tide, so “Cyclops” wasn’t working yet. The water is so thick with silt and debris that there were still a few cheeky tubes. Not worth paddling for though haha.
This one stayed open all the way to the end. You would’ve needed a strong anti-bacterial hose down or a bio-hazard suit to get out there today though haha.
The faces of the first waves of the sets were fairly smooth. But the water will probably be sketchy for at least a couple more days as the rain continues…
The workers did a solid job cleaning up the South-side of the beach while there was a gap in the rain. The morning window with light rain was the best time to get outside and to the beach. The rain is continuing steady through the afternoon and flooding is picking up in some areas so stay safe out there! As long as there is electricity and some sort of internet, then I’ll bring you tomorrow’s surf action.
