Somewhere in Nicaragua
We’ve got Roberto and Jairo with the surf report. Today we went to Maderas early in the morning. It’s running about knee to waist high on sets, the wind is offshore, the water still feels cold and there were a tons of jellyfish. Check it out.
The waves are still small but there were some fun sets coming in. Here is a cute chick riding a nice right.
This little kid made it out this morning with the local surfers, here he is going left. This kid is learning how to surf and looks like he has a good potential for his country “France”. Sorry dude, we forgot your name but you are on.
Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro was out there working hard for the upcoming surf contest in Panama. Here he is with a nice maneuver, keep practicing buddy!!!
Meanwhile his brother is working hard Luis “La Baloy” was just having fun. Here he is improving something different, we called it “El Resorte Humano” which in english means human spring.
This is “Shaggy” Aburto representing the first local surf generation. He is around 30 years old and he keeps paddling out to get the feeling.
Today we have our friends out there taking their first surf lesson with NSR. They are from New Orleans and they are down here to have a good time with us. Here they are learning from one of the best surfers in Nicaragua.
These guys were having so much fun out there and they are so proud of taking their first surf lesson with our staff. Here we have Leslie A Bonin taking the first wave of her life.
This is Nick Nelson going left, this guy was amazing out there. He learned how to surf so fast and he was taking good a couple waves by himself. Here he is riding one of the many wave of his lesson.

We’ve got waves. It’s about head high on sets and super offshore out here at Maderas today. The upwelling is in full effect and the water is chilly – there aren’t too many people surfing without suits or tops. Check out the spray off the back of this closeout.
