Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hi folks, we are “Lucha Libre and Come Pan” back in town reporting from out here at Maderas. It’s waist to chest high on sets, the wind is strong offshore and the water is chilly. Check it out.
We are a week away from the Central American Surf Championships in Panama and our guys were out practicing to do the best they can representing Nicaragua in this contest. Here is “La Gaviota” Chamorro with a cool spray.
Young Rex “La Bestia” Calderon was able to made it out today and practice for a few hours. There he is going high with a nice aerial move.
Dexter “Akamai” Ramirez paddled out today to catch a couple of fun waves. Here he is going right. Hey buddy Brenda told us that you are in a diet because you want to paddle out next time at Outter Reef, is that true?
Here we have one of the best groms in town, he’s “El Tablon” Zapata. This guy has a good potential but he has to work very hard if he wants to become a better surfer.
Here is Roque “Balboa” Calderon going off the top on a nice left. By the way, this guy is going to Panama next week with the National Surf Team.

Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday evening’s surf report from Panga Drops. The swell came up some today, but the wind was vicious and ripping all day until sunset. Kai found some of the better waves this evening.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Monday evening’s surf report from the sandbar peaks around Panga Drops. French Fries had a few waves, as pictured here, but most of the action was at the southern sandbar.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Sunday evening’s surf report from Panga Drops. A new peaked showed up closer to Costa Mar and was the main attraction. The wind cleaned up and there was a tiny bit more size than yesterday.

As I said yesterday, we have pumping swell in the water and all the locals including Carlos Caliente paddle out to get some big waves. It’s easily double over head on sets and the wind is offshore. Check out the line up.
Still searching for waves…well, I guess we found a few – nothing epic, but good waves nonetheless. This shot is of a firing right hander across a rivermouth. It is easily overhead and was taken early this morning when the winds were calm offshore. The best part about it…nobody was out.
We’ve still got a good swell in the water. It’s a little overhead on sets and offshore winds. We had an early morning Brown sighting at Santana beach, doing what he does best.
