Somewhere in Nicaragua

Hi folks, this is Roberto “Lucha Libre” Garcia bringing you the action from the beach.  Today we woke up early and headed out down south to surf one of the incoming tide spots we have around.  There were some super fun size waves coming through at the uncrowd line up.  It was running about chest to head high on sets, with off shore wind and the water was super clear and warm.  Take a look of what we got today.

A few locals were splitting the waves with a couple of international surfers.  On the first shot we have this unknown surfer with a killer back side slash on this left.

Two of the best Nicaraguan surfers paddled out today and were showing why they are at the top of the national ranking this year.  Here is “La Baloy” showing that he can do every kind of maneuvers, not only busting air.

The left was doing its thing as well in this spot, but there wasn’t that many people out to take every single wave that came through.  What a shame!!!

“La Baloy” was killing it today; he was making and pulling off all kind of maneuvers.  Here he comes seconds away to pull out from this small but sweet shack.

“La Bestia” Calderon paddled out as well and was showing off.  After he got the award as the best Nicaraguan Surfer he’s been surfing everyday because he wants to keep it for ever.

PLAYA COLORADO

Hey everyone! Welcome to Wednesday evening’s surf report from Colorados. Surprisingly, the past couple days of swell were just powerful enough for some decent waves to break at our favorite spot.

PANGA DROPS

Hey everyone! Welcome to Tuesday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The swell was notably stronger than I expected. Some early season Pacific power! Middle peak was the place to be, but it was windy.

PANGA DROPS

Hey amigos! Welcome to Monday’s surf report from French Fries. The waves were pretty much firing when I rocked up to take pictures, but just like yesterday the wind went side-shore as soon as I put the camera away. At least some surfers caught the magic window.

Hi there, it is Lucha Libre here with the surf report from Maderas. It is overhead on sets and the wind is offshore. Today we do not have many people on the beach but we have around 20s in the water. Check out the lineup.

We’ve got chest high waves with some head high sets and offshore winds all day today at Maderas. I can’t believe we get bummed when the waves are like this, but we do – does that mean we are spoiled?
