Hey amigos! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The surf was a touch smaller today, but not as small as I was expecting. Still some shoulder-high sets.

His solid bottom turn set him up for a strong top turn. A sharp top turn on a longboard at Pangas is a sign of good fundamental board control.

If I had to bet, I would guess that Layna likes surfing Pangas more than Colorados. She looked very comfortable out there.

Pangas is a wave where longboarding fits aesthetically. Longboards are well suited to fit into the soft, but open faces.

Another strong slash! It's good to learn how to turn a longboard correctly before shifting to a shortboard. Way easier to turn a shortboard after mastering a longboard.

Another cutback on the inside section. If you get the right wave at Pangas you can squeeze in about three to five cutbacks or maneuvers.

One quick cameo from another unknown rider. The takeaway from this report is that when the surf is fairly mellow at Pangas, then longboards rule!

Another day in paradise! Light offshore flow and playful waves all day. You just needed to shift between the different peaks based on the tides. Tomorrow should be pretty small, but let's see what Tony Z captures.
