Somewhere in Nicaragua
Welcome back everyone to the Thursday surf report. Today we made it out before dark, expecting to get some waves to ride, but unfortunately the surf conditions weren’t really good today. The waves were really small, with the wind onshore and overcast all day. It’s the beginning of our rainy season so during the transition, we often get days like this.
The afternoon was a perfect time to take the longboard out and catch some smooth waves. For the first shot of the day we got Mateo “Guineo” trying to touch the nose of the big panga on this small but nice looking wave. Matt was still recovering from his 22nd birthday bash last night.
The young surfers weren’t too discouraged about the onshore wind. Since the wind is always offshore the waves always groomed to perfection. The choppy surf gives the surfers a new line to draw on the wave. Check out Rex enjoying the mush.
What has four arms and four legs and will eat any man alive? Be careful of these things when you visit us in Nicaragua! They are especially aggressive after dark.
On the last shot of the day we have Pedro “El Cacasteste” Flores working his way through the chop. The waves are supposed to improve tomorrow with the new swell. You’re my boy blue!
We all grew mustaches for Matt’s birthday! Here’s Chewy, Guineo, D-lite, and Pancho all blowin’ up the Mustachio Bashio, breakin’ hearts and takin’ names!

Oh my god, it looks like we are going to have more of the same in Nicaragua, it’s chest high on sets out here at the bay and i wont even bother to tell you how the wind is. It’s still rainy and mushy but the locals are having fun out there.
