Somewhere in Nicaragua
In case you haven’t been following – the Billabong ISA World Games are going on right now in Costa Rica. This is a huge worldwide event featuring the best surfers from around the globe. Corey Lopez and Benny B are repping th US, Jeremy Flores is there from France, Mick Cambell from Australia, Roy Powers from Hawaii, etc, etc. You get the picture – there’s big time talent in this one. Nicaragua was also fortunate enough to raise enough funds to send our own team: Rex, Agusto, Luis, Mario and Corage (from left to right above). While we aren’t expecting an overall victory, it’s a great experience for these guys and it would be cool to see one of them take out a big dog! Hey! It’s Jeremiah “Chewy” bringing you another surf report! Today was pretty small, and I’m from Florida. It was running around waist to shoulder high with a perfect water temp and a pretty hard offshore wind for some of the day. Check it out!
I multi-tasked today, took pictures and did the report, and I didn’t do too bad of a job! Roberto would be so proud! Here is one of the crew with a sick shwack! Dude when you can do shwacks like this you can wear any funny hat you want!
The first place we surfed wasn’t really doing much, but if the right person surfs it it can look good. Here’s Mateo a veteran of this wave with a grab floater thingy.
The second place we surfed was really fun with nobody out! We pulled up and had a fun sesh! Here is (dude) looking for a head dip on this one!
Everybody was frothing to have this point that was reeling to the beach to ourselves!
There were some fun sections that were fast! Everybody was flying down the line all the way to the inside.
Check this out the wave was breaking all the way through! No closeouts, no nothing just a ramp which these aussies found quite rippable!
Everybody jumped out of the boat so fast when we saw the wave break I got to eat everybody lunch while they were surfing!
It wasn’t all fun and games, the rock claimed some egos! Everyone was laughing at him from the boat!
Here’s the last shot of the day, solid thumbs up ready for more? The swell is supposed to start falling in. See you there! North Florida out!

One last shot of the Aussie Mob! You guys took partying to a whole new level. We heard your bartenders actually had to suggest drinks because you emptied the tequila stocks. Nice. We are stoked you guys had a great time.

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Fourth! Saturday’s report is coming your way from Colorados as per usual. It was smaller today, but very shreddable. Still a few tubitos too.
Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!

Bringing you the Mexi road trip report this is Carl. Pancho and I stepped outside to these Zicatela bombs. A few looked makeable…very few. One surfer was out, he caught one inbetweener but mostly watched set waves unload on the sandbar. Pretty impressive welcome to Puerto Escondido.
