I took the camera down to the beach right as the tide had dropped all the way out. It was making for some fast barrels in shallow waters!

Luckily for everybody it is just some soft sand that you bounce off at this wave! Looks like Tony Z was getting some good shots out there too!

This hombre couldn’t quite find his board with his feet! Getting ready to bounce off that soft, forgiving sandbar!

As we see often at this beach, the rights had great shape and were wide open! Not to say there aren’t some sneaky lefts to watch out for!

Before we indulge in some more sand bottom barrel shots, have a quick look at one of NSR’s great rental opportunities… Located right in front of these perfect waves is an incredible, top floor, 3 bedroom/2 bath unit in Hacienda Iguana.

Wake up and check the waves before you even put your shorts on! The condo offers a large balcony with an amazing view of the ocean and surrounding area! Check it out in depth by clicking the vacation rentals tab!

It was a semi-busy lineup this morning, we had shortboards, boogies, bodysurfers, and some longboards out enjoying the waves!

Carlos Caliente paddled out to share the fun! He was up late helping me with some computer issues last night, still up in time for some morning barrels though!

Some of the waves were full of sandy water and made them look a bit chocolatey! That’s what happens when the swell is breaking two feet above the sandbar!

I’m not sure I would want a board like this fella’s… It looks like the colour a big tiburón might be interested in!

If you’re thinking about coming to the area but don’t surf well just yet, no worries, not all of our surf spots are fast and hollow like this. NSR can help find the right place for you!

You can see inside the barrel where the sand is getting sucked up!

What a nice wave! He was just lounging behind the curtain for awhile! Came out and smacked the lip too!

With some good sets showing up every now and then, the lineup was looking like a fun place to spend the morning!

We are seeing a little increase in size for tomorrow! Our dominant offshore winds are back and it should be a good time out there for the upcoming week! Thanks for tuning in today, we’ll be here again tomorrow so check back for another daily update from la playa! Adios amigos!
RECENT REPORTS

Hey everyone! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Colorados. It was another small, but fun day of waves. Looks like the last mellow day for a good eight to nine days. Finley managed to find a couple of tubitos.
