There were still waves but it was messy and choppy, but it didn’t stop people to go out and have some fun.
It was cloudy and looked like the rain was coming but, of course, as soon as I sat down in front of the computer the sun came out and probably the photos would have looked way better but it is what it is.
This guy was ripping. He definitely was comfortable with the conditions and he knew how to make the best out of it.
These two guys came to the beach, saw the conditions and I guess they didn’t like it so they decided to go for a walk on the reef to go check Rosada.
The tide was still high so there were waves crashing strong on the reef, making it hard for them to walk without getting washed out.
There was not much going on at first peak, just a few little ones opened enough to make some turns, the bigger ones closed out most of the times.
This group got out right after I got the beach, they stayed there chilling and enjoying the onshore, probably waiting to see if the wind turned back around, sadly it never happened.
Here is another photo of the guy that felt comfortable with the conditions, he was trying all kind of maneuvers, like this one which I don’t know the name of it but looks really cool!
Bad conditions and all but still this guy managed to get barreled for a split second, he would have gone longer but the other surfer messed up the shoulder.
Today my son Mateo is turning 4 years old! On Saturday we celebrated with all his little friends and we had the biggest cake I have ever seen… 4 pounds of pure happiness! Anyone want some?
The two guys didn’t make it to Rosada, they probably figured out that it was too sketchy to walk on the rocks with waves still crashing and going ever the edge. Good decision guys, Safety first!
No matter the conditions, it’s always good and fun to go surfing with your group of friends.
But every once in a while it is great to have your solo session. Be by yourself out there, enjoying nature and recharging with positive energy.
This is one of the guys that tried to walk to Rosada, he looked so bumped! Remember, Rosada is better at low tide, and it is not just because of the wave, also because of the walk.
This conditions are good for practicing and developing your wave reading capabilities, it is essential for becoming a better surfer.
Looks like the wind conditions are going to be similar for the next few days, but the waves will get a little bit bigger tomorrow and Wednesday. Will see!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday’s surf report from Panga Drops. This lady either ended up a bit later than anticipated or misunderstood what it means to get barreled haha! I’ve got to give her credit for looking at this wave though. You don’t know if you don’t go (or at least look at going).
