Somewhere in Nicaragua
Happy Sunday everybody!! It’s a good day today because we have our normal weather and waves back, finally!!
I gotta start out with a shot of my buddy Scott enjoying the elements, and about to get barreled! (spoiler alert ~ not a whole lot of barrels out there today)
The tide was super high in the afternoon, which made most of the surfing all about lots of big turns, roundhouses and cutbacks. It’s always good to work on your turn game when you can, especially at this wave since it’s usually more about getting barreled.
Kevin is a well rounded surfer as you can tell and he hucks plenty of these anytime you see him out surfing… and he lands most too!
See, these guys saw it.
Kei’s time here has been nothing short of blowing up every session. Imagine if this was your home-break buddy. This place suits your surfing well.
There were some wahini rippers out today too.

The size today was pretty fun, although it looks like we have a small decrease in swell this week, there is a pretty big swell arriving here around the 18th.
get them turns in now before it switches back into barrel fest pretty soon!
With all that rain, I thought for sure this thing would have broke. But it’s getting close. Maybe we can improvise with a little tractor help?
and then we can have some killer sandbars with perfect A-frame waves!
When Chris Harrison isn’t brewing his Campo Beer, he’s slicing up some frothy salty spray. Killing it today hermano!
Kevin was getting all kinds of experimental and radical out there today as well.
and when you surf that well, people’s heads turn.
There were some nice little sneaker sets out there too.
Well gang, its been a fun and interesting weekend. I’m beat.. definitely had to get creative with the lack of good weather and waves the last few days, but lets pray the conditions like we had today stay that way for a while. On a good note.. we also get HotstickHannas back this week, so you know its gonna be a good week! Hasta la próxima vez que te vea por ahí
