Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hello everybody and this is Hotsticks welcoming you to the NSR surf report! We hope your week is off to a good start and keep the good times rolling by clicking “read more!”
Swell wise, it’s pretty mellow right now. We had a macking swell a week ago and something is on the radar for early next week! Nothing wrong with a couple rest days, right?
One local who is always on it is Jeison. He surfs early in the morning before his amigos arrive, he surfs every tide, and he’s always pushing himself. Check out his sequence.
I guess sponsors are noticing because that’s a sick new Shapeshifter!!!
The rotation is there and he almost kept himself centered over the board. He’s already surfing well and we have big hopes for this hombre!
Another hombre who has been logging his hours is our HOA President Jamie Kocher. Most of us down here just see this place a paradise or a surfing haven. That’s true, but we often forget there are people hard at work behind the scenes that make this place what it is. A big thank you to Jamie and the HOA staff!!
Which right to you prefer? Take the first or wait and see what the wave out the back does? We have a short period swell so there were tons of waves coming through. Once that system moves out of the Carribbean, we will go back to consistent offshores and better surf. In the meantime, we will fish, dive, play volleyball, hit happy hour, or God forbid- work a little bit!!!!

Others, like Jill and her boy Roman, come down here to escape the office. Considering this is a “flat day where we don’t want to surf,” how about ditching your cubicle and taking a trip down here? Chances are highly in your favor that you’ll have fun consistent surf…
Other, like Thierry’s boy Emmauel, are taking this chance to learn. The Fernandez family recently moved down here to retire but unfortunately they didn’t bring fresh French pastries with them!!
Mike and his crew are visiting from New Jersey. They went for the morning session then hopped in a car to San Juan for the day. Right now, they are probably ripping ATVs through the mountain trails or enjoying a flight of beers at the local cerveceria. Mike, bust me out of the office next time and let me come along bro!!
Everybody had their eyes on that northern peak that dished out constant rights. Though this wave is famous, you can find a spot to enjoy an empty wave. Study up and go find that empty peak!!
Ok damas and caballeros, I’m also thinking about heading to the Beach Club. It’s lunchtime and Pili’s chicken nachos sound awesome right now!! The fully loaded burger doesn’t sound horrible either… Anyways, thank you guys for checking in today and we’ll keep you on your toes with something fresh tomorrow. Adios amigos!!

Hey everyone! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Colorados. It was another small, but fun day of waves. Looks like the last mellow day for a good eight to nine days. Finley managed to find a couple of tubitos.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. The surf was still fairly small today. There were moments where it pulsed and moments where it lulled out. Still clean and good for turns.
Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. The small “gap” days are here! Funnily enough there were still some mini-drainers at Colorados this Wednesday morning.

Hola amigos!!!. The swell still giving to us some shoulder high waves. The two peaks still working good with the rights working better. The lefts are short and rolling soft. One have tubes the other is soft for easy turns. Check it out.
