Hola amigos and Welcome to the Saturday surf report! The new swell came in as forecast and it was firing! CHECK IT OUT!!
I started out by checking it early on in the AM, but it just wasn’t doing anything.. so I opted for waiting until a little later and a little more water.
By the time I came back down to the beach, things were really starting to fill in… Watcha think?
I hustled over to the beach club to seeing it looking like mini pipe out there! Crystal aqua blue water, light offshore if any wind, and people getting shacked off their melons! Ohhhh and P.s. It’s October btw – the off season; but it looks just like it would be May, June or July out there right now.
Doesn’t really matter what time of year. This place can and is (like today) showing all the signs of one of the best beach breaks in Latin America.

Rutci was going APE $h!t out there today! No joke. I could tell she was starving for some good barrels… and she was putting in her dues!

There were some solid 3-4 footers coming through today… with some teeth too! Check the lipper on that thing! Any takers??
The sand bars have been everything perfect for the past couple of swells.
All that sand that left the beach is now out there making waves look like this.
There was some room for the occasional BIG gouge here and there, like my man, Big John does these here in his sleep!
Phi Lou and Rutci didn’t let the relief efforts stop on the sand… here they share a big jacking peak off the river-mouth left. Sharing is caring right amigos? (haha).
Yeah buddy – good to see you paddling out!! My amigo Dan the MAN bout to go get his shred on! Hmmm, I wonder what he’s scoping right there?
Ahhh, I see. It’s his son Josh getting shacked off his cajónes!! Must be close to a poker night, cause Josh definitely knows when to hold ’em… knows when to fold ’em…. knows when to walk away and when to run.
Tide was getting a little fuller, but the swell was still good and some of the lips on these things were pretty legit!
They were definitely fast… but I counted just as many exits as I did non-makable ones, and the ones who came out were mega deep on these fun little runners!
Some were just that… gun it and make the whole barrel section if you can. Others were perfectly tapered Tee-Pee A-Frames with barrel takeoffs with big bash sections at the end.
You could really tell where the sand has built up where the river mouth is. It’s almost like everyone who took off too deep down that way was exactly that… too deep. but these things were roping today. Not closing out super fast. But you for sure wanted some gas in the tank, just in case!

JS making water displacement regular part of his surfing repertoire. I think that’s got to be one of the biggest fin slashes I’ve ever seen at this break.
Ohh Phi Lou… I was so excited for all the big waves you went on today.
Unfortunately, everyone wanted to share them with you. Not sure if you pulled out your hair before or after you got out of the water today??
I know Josh and John both are homeschooled, but I never really thought about where they go for their drivers ed classes. Now I know!
This wave, especially on days like today require nothing less than full commitment padding and dropping onto one of these things.
The flip side (and I feel for this guy – and his poor board) remember the dude I said a few slides back that I wanted to give my new amigo a few shots (for good reason) You’ll soon see! Well, RIP nice green Lost SB. The best part is he said it was all WELL WORTH IT! And that makes it a GREAT day!!

Hi families!!!. We keep rocking good waves in this month. Check it out what we surfed today. The morning was super stormy and was raining hard during the last three days, but here we are with nice condition, good shape and descent size waves. No’ really!!!.
Hello everybody. Last Night rain a little, so the wind was glassing in the morning. The waves are coming overhead and super constantly ( It’s hard to paddle inside). A lot of waves and water are moving in these days. Check it out.
Theo again with your Tuesday wind-slop report. Unfortunately mother nature decided to bless us with onshore winds today. I waited all morning for someone to go out, but no takers so far. We get pretty spoiled here with perfect conditions almost every day, can’t win ’em all though.
