How small was it you ask… well about this size.

Even the only two people out at the beachie were having a hard time catching waves on longboards.

Today was a great day to go fishing!

Or wading. Kinda looks like Lake Nicaragua eh?

I cruised up to the reef and it was pretty small there too. Usually this break gets some kind of swell. But the ocean just isn’t having it right now.

Kimi come back… check out that nice little peeling right!!

The conditions were EPIC! now if it were about 3-4 feet bigger, it would be perfect.

Should I stay or should I go now?

After seeing this set come through, it was definitely STAY! This guy got the wave of the day (that I saw all day).

After going through all of last years photos to make the retrospective slide show for 2017, I did see how good it was last January. Especially Feb was really good. So lets hope history repeats itself. Book a trip early on this year and you can score it this empty with really fun waves! Trust me.

In the meantime, these kids had the right idea.

Its was double overhead today… for a pelican! haha

Check out this sponge gremmie charger about to tuck into this Chopes looking wedge!

Empty wave in an empty lineup. How often do you hear those two in the same sentence?

“I’ve seen bigger waves in a toilet bowl” – Occy – North Shore the movie. Couldn’t be a better time to use this quote.

A boat with about 4 or 5 surfers rolled up.. hopefully they brought some fishing gear.

The closeouts were pretty gnar gnar!!

Alright my friends… I know it wasn’t much, but we can’t always have it perfect. This was one of those 65 days unlike our other 300 perfect ones. The surf will be back, I promise. Until then, good to see you all back, being I have’t seen you since last year. Ohhh and Feliz año nuevo!! ~
RECENT REPORTS

Hello and Happy Tuesday, We still have plenty swell running in the water. The interval is still high making for pretty walled conditions. @tonyzphotos reporting.
