After having problems starting my 91 Toyota Land Cruiser, by the way, the perfect surf mobile for this area (big thanks to my neighbor Mike (you’ve seen him on this report very often) for helping me), I might got a little bit too late to the beach… there were only three surfers in the water and the tide was getting low.
There were a lot of pelican in the water, flying around, diving for fish, enjoying the morning and escaping from the crashing waves whenever a set came.
This other pelican managed to escape from the wave right on time… and the surfer tried to do the same but gravity did its job. He almost landed it though.
Even though the tide was getting low they were a lot of waves with a really nice shape coming through, and nobody around to catch them.
I’ve heard it’s been cold in many places in the US… don’t you want to be surfing, enjoying the warm sun, relaxing on a property overlooking Santana beach? This is Casa Alegre, our newest rental in Rancho Santana (we don’t even have it listed on our website yet) where you and your friends (or family) should come spend your vacation together. Casa Alegre should be ready for rental in the next couple of weeks.
While you are in one of our properties inside Rancho Santana, our unique Concierge Service can help you coordinate transportation, a rental car, meal plans or In-Home dining, private yoga and massages at your house, fishing and surfing trips, and many other activities… we make sure you’ll have an awesome time in and out of the water!
Another surfer that can testify about being in Nicaragua right now was a great decision… face covered in sunblock, rashguard in one hand, surfboard in the other, and a girlfriend that (hopefully) will take some photos of you shredding the waves.
But you don’t need to be a surfer to enjoy paradise… this guy knows how to hang out at the beach, a girlfriend, some nice shades, a big smile and a big cooler!
The lone surfer getting on a nice left… he’s going to need a cold one from that cooler after this nice surf session at Santana.
That’s it for today folks. Let us help you find the right Nicaragua vacation rental property for your next surf vacations by contacting us at[email protected]. Saludos,

Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The waves were definitely smaller and windier today, but the sets were still fun.
