So today the winds decided to go nuclear in the early AM, which completely shot down my intention for getting a nice early report up for you fine people. You’re probably asking yourselves, well, what gives?
It’s those nuclear offshores I was mentioning. Here’s Nicaragua’s closest version of a total whiteout! How’d you like to try and paddle for one of these wind machines?
Often times I will refer to this break and it’s infamous inside bowl section. Here’s a pulled back view. If you need a size guide, just look at the tiny little guys on the far left. Good times if you pull into one of these!
So back to my original reason for not really being able to produce something early on in the day. Basically I waited around for about an hour without seeing anyone catch a single wave. So my idea was to go to plan B. (btw that’s Codo in the bottom right of the image) You know if Codo don’t go, then you know that wave is way too much work.
Here’s my plan B. Wait until the afternoon, because 1. There will more than likely be more people, and 2. The winds could very well simmer down bit. Which they did; but just a bit.
Making my way from the north to the south this time, I spotted Lauren that must have seen something pretty interesting…
I know what you’re thinking, a four armed surfer???
Haha.. Nahhhh it’s just Nacho giving his super awesome client Julie a good surf lesson today. btw, you should check it Nacho and DJ’s setup. They do a lot of good things with their company, my favorite, being giving little kids surfing lessons and insight about the ocean and all things that revolve around it. Good peeps! Check em out!!www.facebook.com/iguanasurfschool/
So it looks like my plan B really did work. Finally some serious surfing action, with some good size too!
As I moved down the beach to get a little closer to the action, I couldn’t help but notice this young yogi in the wilderness. I was very quiet not to disturb her natural habitat though.
Raffa always puts the lime in the Coconut! I tell you, the workers around here don’t get enough credit. They pull really long days an hours, you’ll never ever once hear them complain, they’re all really good at what they do, and they do all this day in, and day out with great big smiles on their faces. Sounds like people who are genuinely happy! Nicaragüenses son algunas de las personas más agradables del planeta ~
Hey Nacho… what you looking at?? Don’t you see that three headed mutant thing peeling off to your right???
So all in all my friends, this is what I got up early today and came down to the beach to see and capture.
Big rail turns like this… all day long!
Well, here’s one more for good measure for the day.

RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Friday evening’s surf report from Colorados. The size and consistency actually declined today, contrary to what was forecasted. There were still a few corners to be had though. The wind was also light this evening.
