There were just 3 people in the water at that time. Here is one of them on a nice little left.
Here is another guy going really fast on a nice right.
Little by little there were more people showing up, as you can see, the water temperature is still cold and most of the surfers are using some sort of wetsuit.
When I was about to leave our friend Donald showed up, he just turned 60 years last week… and he still surfs better than a lot of the locals and foreigners that live in the area… when I grow up I want to be like him! Happy Birthday Guru!!
I went back to the beach 5 hours later to see if I could take a few more photos for our audience, this is what I found… around 8 surfers in the water and long flat periods of waiting.
But when the sets showed up the waves turned out to be very good.
Turned out to be bigger and better than in the morning!
Andrew is visiting for a few days and he was excited (like everyone else) to have good waves peeling off to the left.
We usually see Gerald behind the camera taking photos at Popoyo (mainly), but today the waves were so good (comparing them to the last few weeks) that he left the camera at home and paddled out.
Here goes Andrew again pumping through this section at full speed.
First peak was breaking once in a while, the waiting there was longer than the rest of the beach.
Chris was out too, as always catching only the best waves and shredding every little piece of them.
Chris going vertical on this little left corner.
The waves will go a little bit smaller for 2 or 3 days but then a little bump is coming our way hopefully with more good waves. Stay tune!

Early this morning there was not a single surfer in the water! I guess everyone stayed up too late last night and missed today’s morning session!
Hello and good weekend everybody. We have a special surf report today. The waves were fun and the wind strong like the days before, but we have a wedding celebration going on this beach. Check the full day of activities we have today.
Hello there and welcome to the Thursday NSR surf report. Today the swell we have been waiting for has arrived. The wind is a little funky but there are still some bombs coming in. I would call the surf today waist to head high with some accasional overhead set waves. The water is chilly and..
