Just me and 3 amigos hopped on a boat and decided to go test our luck at some point breaks up North.
Luckily for us, we got to where we were heading to find it empty and reeling!
Keep in mind it was super duper early, but the lighting was magic!
Collin “Grom”, awake and ready for a super fun day.
We knew the swell was going to be filling in through out the day, so we paced our selves appropriately so we could marathon session out on the ocean as long as we could.
“Colorado” Bill, is like the energizer bunny … he just goes and goes!
Kai “Grom” on a morning nugget set bomb with some pretty nice glassy conditions.
The inside section was like a racetrack out there on the low ride. Kai, putting in his formula one practice.
Some other locals decided to show up and buzz the place with a fly by.
Bill’s 6’0”, he’s riding a 6”8” the set waves were being called 5-7 today… so mathematically, this is all proportionately perfect, I’d say.
The long walls today offered up some really long rides today.
No shortage on stoke for Bill as you can see!
The happiest grom out there today.
Collin, the other grom, taking a super high line racing around an oncoming section to make it from the point, where he took off, to get to that inside racy section.
Not before doing some nice turns on the big open faces that were on offer today.
Everyone was yelling for Kai to go on this one…
Good thing he went because this was maybe one of his best wavs of the day.
Can you tell? haha look how stoked the “Big Grom” is.
Btw, this is Kai’s first surf trip. So Bienvenido a Nicaragua mi nuevo amigo!
Collin, luckily was invited by his good friend Kia, who both were generously invited by long time returning surfer and amigo “Colorado” Bill.
All in all, today was an amazing day and tomorrow’s looking to be even better! Hope if you’re in Nicaragua you score and have as much as we did today. Salud y buenas noches ~
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were better by all measurable metrics today. It was still walled up and slow, but there were definitely some 10 pointers to be had.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Hey there party people! We seem to have made it through the week unscathed, despite all the setbacks with our unruly weather conditions. I must say though, I think today was quite possibly the worst. It started off pretty good but deteriorated quickly with that storm front that has been knocking on our door all..
