Rancho Santana has been kinda quiet the last few weeks but that didn’t stop the Smith family to come enjoy the sun, the waves and the quietness of the Nicaraguan Pacific coast.

The Smiths came to check out first peak at Santana and this is what they found… peaky waves with big drops, and a couple of boogieboarders going at it.

There was only one surfer at first peak, this little local kid named Sadi (who knows if that’s how he spell it). He was charging those big waves!

After watching some of the waves, Chris (a friend of the Smith family) decided to start the Sunday Funday by paddle out with the Odysea, a really small surfboard or a weird boogieboard maybe(?)

Chris took the first wave like he was J.O.B… it looked super fun!

After looking at Chris’ first wave, Brooks (another friend of the Smith) took this tiny boogieboard to see how it went on the big drops at first peak.

Right away he took one big wave and rode it like a champ, sliding sideways and jumping all over the face of the wave, but with a big smile on his face.

Seen at his friends having a great time with the sponges Ben Smith decided to go have fun with them, after all, it’s Sunday Funday, right?

Ben convinced his other friend Michael to join him for a few waves with the surfboards so the whole crew can surf together and have a real Sunday Funday party here in Nicaragua.

These kids know how to have fun no matter the conditions, they all were cheering up everyone, laughing and yelling at each other on every wave.

And finishing the wave with even more style than before.

Everyone got their own waves but as teenagers, they all wanted to have more fun which means: Party Waves!

Little by little the party waves got better…here is Brooks and Michael sharing a good one.

And here is Ben following Chris on the party wave of the day, check them out!

As any good pair of dancers, one has to lead and the other follows… in this couple Chris is the one leading the way.

And Ben knows the rythm and knows exactly what to do after Chris.

Here is Ben on a late vertical drop.

And here is Ben celebrating with a big, BIG kick out. Sunday Funday baby!!

That’s it for this week folks… big Shakas for everyone! See you tomorrow with more beautiful waves and stories in Nicaragua!
