Just coming off a big Nicaraguan Holiday weekend, today really feels like the start of the week, since everyone was all partied out and heading home yesterday.
The surf was a really fun playful size and the weather was spectacular, but what really shined today was the amazing crystal clear blue water.
Tropical Azul, and glassy in-between the light offshore breezes. Here’s my buddy Jaun setting up for a little bit of some early morning work.
Rail work, this is! Sick turn hermano!!
Jeison came out to play early too, much like the rest of the people who came here to surf.
Prefect morning light combined with good surfing, made for really buenas fotos en la mañana!
See what I’m saying..!
Hot Carl, hitting it early too. Looking for some cover ups.
I had to do a double take, as I thought this was our homie Gavin. I thought, “NO WAY” Gav’s back in town… then I realized this guy’s a regular foot. Hey Gavin, if you have Wifi and you’re reading this from your remote surf spot in Indo, check it out… I found your doppelganger!!
Carolina Todd, making it two for two, and on a Tuesday as well. Not bad for “dos días” back to back on the Nicaragua Surf Report.
Not sure who this dude is, but he’s learned pretty quickly that the best place to find shade in Nicaragua is RIGHT THERE!
John G, always nabs the biggest sets of the day whenever he’s out surfing.
Wakita Takayuki, a well known Japanese Pipeline surfer actually has a spot on that reef named after him after putting in so many years of sitting so deep at the infamous wave. I vote we name John’s take off spot, the G spot! haha Love ya Big John!!!
In Nicaragua….
What goes up….
Must….
Come down!
A very candid and realistic image of the “sea to table” food life here on the Nicaraguan coast.

Possibly the number one reason people will be visiting the new clinic. Ohhhh, them surfers, I tell you!! I know well over 2 hand full counts of people who made the trip over the the Rancho Santana clinic for quick stitches…. Hopefully now people can get fixed up a little more easily.
But like John G says… still play safe out there amigos!!
Ryan… cooking down the line. Sorry Señor Vana, couldn’t resist!
This guy doesn’t make tacos, (I don’t think?) but I’m sure he could use a few Vana tacos after todays epic surf session.
My unknown mystery barrel packer of the day goes to this happy chappy!! Nice one sir, OR señorita?
This señorita, miss Katie, was on fire today. Hey Katie, was that you in the mystery barrel cover up???
Well, if not, doesn’t matter. Sick bottom turn on this epic left hermana!
Todays conditions all summed up in one nice image for you fine folks. You’re welcome!!
Juan y Valentina de Argentina, disfrutando los 3 grados de estar más frescos en la sombra de la palapa. ¡Quédate fresco y fresco, siempre mis amigos! Dale Pues ~
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The conditions were very similar to yesterday, possibly a little bigger on the sets.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Good Monday everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend wherever you are. Today the waves are small but still have good shape and push, but looks like in the next few days it will continue to reduce in size until the weekend.
