Two peace signs up for a GREAT beach day of fun in the sun! Flaca y su amiga Alejandra visitando desde El Salvador and Doko too, enjoying a peacefully quiet day on this deserted beach. The only thing they’re missing are some pupusas!
I wasn’t kidding when I say the ocean was as electric blue as is gets. The lighting was epic this morning.
Jake’s only been back for a short while, after a month visit back to the EEUU. Hey said he got so fried the first day back because he surfed for so long. Aside from the painful reminder of how sun the is here in Nica-Land, it looks like he didn’t forget how to ride the bicycle.
I caught the later morning session, whereas I had heard the lineup was a little more filled in with people than when I got down there. Either way. Matt’s scoring some pretty sick sorta empty waves. All while most of you reading this now, were more than likely on your morning commute.
Hayden is man of many skills. He’s one of those jack of all trades, handyman, if you give him duct tape and some pliers, he’ll pretty much fix anything. Looks like he’s working on fixing this right at Panga Drops to help make it look even better than it really is.
Lesther was another local ripper out doing his daly routine of killing it. Key word is not to kill it too much, hahaha inside joke!
Ripping HERMANO!!!
On the flip side, the backside action on the rights were effectively smooth and high performance.
I’m not sure of the actual hydro-dynamics of a thruster vs twin or even a single fin, but here Colin is displacing a whole lot of water with just one BIG fin.
If I was asked if I had any cool shots of a surfer looking like he’s skating on water, even more specifically, doing a hand plant, I think Maycol may have just nailed the description.
A solid wrap around always looks cool when completed properly; as there are may different things going on with a surfers position, placement, weight adjustment and distribution including follow through using the torso from the head all the way to his waist to toes. Here’s a freeze frame of just one of those aspects of a perfectly timed and executed wrap.
The land of offshores has nice waves this time of year, believe it or not. It’s just too many people fall into that trap of only thinking it’s best from April-Sept. Jake fully outside the normal travel comfort zone.
Getting closer to that 12’ noon sun, I can tell by the shadows. Which also means almuerzo time!
The inside section had some of the best out there pulling some super sick ending maneuvers.
Straightening out for these guys is NEVER an option.
Jake almost 100% on time with this crack, exactly within a few minutes. Time to come in for some lunch!!!
Power lunch, Power smoothly, then a Power nap. Then make it back out for the arvo session!! Just a typical day here in Nicaragua at the playa! Thanks for coming by on a typical but no so typical Tuesday. See you down at the playa for some sunset waves!!!! Yewwww ~
