Hola and Happy Super Bowl Windy Sunday Funday! Yup, we have all three things going on today… but the best news is we had some EPIC waves today, so check it out quick before that kick off.
Todays winds were Extra fuerte. Which is why these guys probably booked a boat to jam over to a more sheltered place to surf.
The number one rule of surfing here (since we have two of the best and most consistent waves in the country) is never leave when it’s firing. Unless maybe if it’s too windy.
After the boat left I was kinda bumming since there wasn’t a single person out surfing at our beach, but I was stoked to see Alberto, Alex, Cristobal, Odile and Stephanie pull up to surf the really fun looking waves that were actually firing with no-one out.
Alberto, being the machine that he is, was out there in no time at all and already stroking into his first wave of the day. Sick one buddy!!!
Alex was up next and dropping into a BOMB!
Speaking of Bombs, check out this even bigger set wave that came through after he was paddling back out.
Antonella, quite possibly on one her biggest waves of her surfing life so far??? She was charging it out there! Good job chica!!!
Cristobal came over with his A-game today. Nice crack off the top hermano!
The lulls yesterday and a couple days before seemed a little longer in between sets, whereas today it was pretty consistent.
Long, big waves on tap for only a hand full of friends out surfing and having a fun time on Sunday Funday.
The reward for surfing so good…. always a nice beso from your amor waiting on the beach!

This was right after he got that sick in and out tubo, so as you can see it was pretty consistent and really FUN!!!
Odile got a few really long ones, here she’s setting up for a nice long ride down one of her many fun rights.
Colin came out a little later and nabbed a few sick ones as well!!

I saw Alberto when he came in and he said grinning from ear to ear, “That was a REALLY REALLY FUN Session!!!!” Ya, I think so amigo!
What an epic day of waves and super sick surfing. Glad I caught the best time to shoot today. Hopefully this swell’s still around for tomorrow.
