The waves were small and soft, great for a longboard but nombody had one out there.
The water was very clear and not too cold which made it a nice surf session at mid-day.
As usual, Popoyo was offering nice rides going both ways.
Al was having a great time here at Popoyo, he was ripping with his boggieboard all over the place.
Al with his boggieboard was not the only one shredding today, this guy was having a great time too.
The first time I surfed Popoyo was in 1999, coming from Managua it was a full on expedition every time.
We didn’t have the all mighty internet to check the forecast and conditions. We barely knew how the tide was going to be that day and then decide where to go.
Popoyo was always the place to go camping because it was so far (and a lot of the times hard) to get because of the bad roads, so we had to make it worth the trip.
No matter where you are coming from, near or far, Popoyo will leave a mark on you, and you will want to come back, just like me. See you tomorrow!

Hey everyone, I hope everyone had a great romantic night last night. Today is a new day and it’s time to get back to the important things in life… like surfing!
Hello! This is Baldo with today’s surf report. Today I decided to go check out a couple of spots to see where to go surfing tomorrow, now that the swell started building up through out the day. I went to the two closest breaks from my house: Santana beach and Popoyo beach! Nada mal, verdad?
