As a pretty small and dialed community here, we try and keep each other informed when the waves are good and when we’re all thinking about paddling out. Tati, always on the program!

Unfortunately, today wasn’t gonna be one of those “tried n true” planned days around the tide, winds and swell.

I was lucky to fire off maybe 3 sequences before pulling the plug on the late morning session.

As my sure bet of always capturing something on any given day, I came back for the evening session. Scott, doing the same thing, hoping the surf got better.

To my surprise, there was only one person out at around 4:30pm which is really rare.

The one single chica contemplating making the effort to paddle out.

Luckily for me, another hombre decided to make the trek down.

Based on the lack of good surf, personally, I think these guys have the better idea.

Mr. Pelican, making his way home on the 5pm Nica 405.

Believe it or not, and if you follow here regularly, the afternoon can and OFTEN provides some of the best redemption sessions on any given day.

When all else fails, grab your favorite hand plane.

Was pleasantly surprised to see my buddy Alberto paddling from the way down south up to the reef. I know I can always count on my regular G’s.

My other late afternoon regular aficionado, Cesar taking a super late drop on a late afternoon nugget.

Aaaaand, this is how the sky was preparing to perform. Pretty normal, but always spectacular!

C-Papa, has surfed (I don’t even know the exact count of consecutive days) so many days here without taking a break, he might actually qualify for a Guinness Book of World Records for surfing in Nicaragua consecutively.

Nam loves this place, that’s a fact!

Alberto is also a greenery specialist (think very healthy foods). Fitting for the waves he loves to partake in here in Nicaragua.

Two of the most dedicated surfers in all of Nicaragua. By FAR!!!! And two great people I can call my friends.

Well if that wasn’t a great day of extraordinary time of patience of wave watching, all while getting to witness some of the best things this place has to offer on any given day. I close with this fabulous sunset.Deacachimba ~

FROM THE ARCHIVES

Hey there everyone! Kevin here with today’s report! Strangely enough it always seems like on Wednesday (my “scheduled” surf report day) the swell is always dropping…. Oh the irony. ANYWAY, lets get to it!
