PLAYA SANTANA
Happy Thursday everyone, this is Baldo once again reporting from beautiful Santana beach, check it out.
I got to Santana a little bit early for the tide to get to the right high but there were already two guys surfing at first peak, which was working pretty good for the tide to be this low.
Wave after wave the peak was well formed but the wind is still strong.
These two guys were having a great time having the whole beach for themselves.
They were just taking turns, wave after wave… a relatively easy drop, then getting some speed and finishing with a nice turn right on the lip.
What else do you need during your vacation in Nicaragua?
A-frames all day long, and the lefts not too fast and longer than normal.
Raise your hands and throw some water if you are having a blast surfing Santana!
In the afternoon I went to check out Panga Drops right at high tide… it felt windier than Santana but it’s probably the anfle of the beach.
As always, the waves were bigger here at Panga, and there was more people in the water (around 6) but only the guys with longboards were catching waves.
Here is a local kid with a hang five, he was having an amazing time with the big board.
That’s why it’s important to have a quiver, a good selection of boards of different sizes and for diferent conditions.
Now it’s time to relax and rest because the weekend is coming and there will be more waves to surf. Hasta la proxima!
