As the ocean changes, allow me to redefine “fun.” Last week was epic! Did you see the reports? Reef days, barrels in our backyard, and some good stuff… scroll back a few days! Now, the ocean is mellow so we’re going to settle for “Nica flat” for the time being.
Brady, one of the dudes in theMarisombracrew, chimed in ourInstagramthis morning. I asked him how the waves are and he said “better than it’s been in Florida all year.” If you’re from the East Coast, even the small days here are epic.
Anndddddd we know how flat it gets back home this time of year there… Thatvacation rentals tabis in the top right corner of your web page.
I think Ian took the cake for the surf report star today. Him and Alec, who we’ll show later, were hunting for tubes. With small racers, they were easy to find but tough to make.
So Ian improvised- above the lip
Does ever surfer I met from UNF rip??? Or have I only met just the rippers? Anyways, we’re stoked this JAX crew is tearing it up and having a killer time. Y’all are always welcomed down here with us.
Ian isn’t exactly a short small guy and that wave isn’t exactly big, powerful, and perfect. But that spray is big, powerful, and perfect. If he surfs a little harder, he’ll be in DP’s league.
Haha these muchachos are super fun to hang with! The big family style dinner, late night Tonas, local cigars (not ghosting them though), and full moon conversations in those rocking chairs. M.C. having some fun with Ian on this wave.
Alec grew up with these guys in Ponte Vedre but is currently living in San Clemente with his girl Jade. While Alec is visiting us, he’s only been staying in the tube.
Alec, if you want to keep dancing and be in the middle of the action, go to Casa Maderas tonight. Cold drinks, outdoor patio, live music, and lots of people. Sounds like a fun fiesta to me!
I had my eye on those of those rights. Maybe not the size we love to see, but nobody on it, some fun sections, and buttery smooth.
The morning looked a little ominous. To translate that: party cloudy with a strong chance of small tubitos and big turns.
You can expect similar conditions for the next week or so- nothing major swell wise will be going on. All good, it’s always (most of the time) offshore and still a fun mid to high tide wave.
If you’re just getting your feet under you, you’ll be STOKED! Get your little ones or ladies out on a soft top. Watch their surfing dramatically improve every session.
Or hit us up if you want to set up a surf lesson. Yeah chica!! See you in the proper line up in a day or two!
Alright damas and caballeros, I’m going to finish up today’s report, eat a quick lunch, and maybe take my log out to the reef. I’ll be back on duty tomorrow so I’ll upload some fun surf shots and a little extra something for you families coming down. Hasta mañana amigos!!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday evening’s surf report from Colorados. The swell was bigger and stronger today, but it was very slow between the sets. I think the lack of a secondary swell combined with the sandbars not being in perfect shape made for long waits.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Happy TGIF surf amigos! It’s that weekend kickoff time again. Let’s see what the ocean brought us out there today eh!!
