I got out there early today at the crack of dawn, and it was a good call.

But it was all because of this hombre.

That’s right, my brother from another mother had to say adios today and this was his farewell swell song!

Barry, on one of the many, many, Emerald Coast gems he found out there today.

This unknown dude was finding his own treasures as well.

Morning light is aaaaaaaaalllll right!!!!! But this wave happens to be a left.

So many makable barrels out there today I stopped counting.

Mr. Muzzy, making every single minute of his short stealth trip count in every way!

If you get up this early, you might not even need coffee, if this is what you’re greeted with as your wake up tool!

This, however would be your morning Red Bull or Monster Energy Drink!!! Paddle paddle… Out the BACK!!!

Todd finding the inner workings of this machine quite a bit cheaper and more relaxing than finding out the inner workings of his Land Cruiser. Glad to see you’re in your happy place this morning brother!

This is another Todd…

But he also goes by Barry! Kinda like Mick and Eugene if you’re a fan of the fanning.

Well, would you look at that Panga dropping some anchor. Hmmmmmm???

There was a little rain squall heading toward the ocean from inland, so I had to quickly run for cover at the beach club. Luckily I kept my gear out long enough to nab these few nuggets!

John Gillem, you’re such a rad dude!!!!! In and out of the water!

About as picturesque as it can get here… and it’s only about 8Am here.

I knew the waves were gonna be on fire all day, so I headed home quickly to take care of some bizz and jammed right back. Here Diego was styling in a mid tide cover up all perfect for me just as I grabbed my camera out of my bag just as I returned to the beach.

I actually saw Oscar heading to the beach when I first made my trip back home… and as I zoomed past him, my only words were… “It’s firing”! Glad we linked up on some waves today hermano.

If you had a chance to see the forecast for the rest of this month, do so, but only if your plan on making a trip down. Otherwise, don’t tease yourself… because after you see the shots in the coming next couple weeks, you might wish you would have booked a trip. Just a friendly heads up! 🙂

Todd (aka Barry) bout to go home with a lot of Nica sand and salt on his skin. Safe travels brother!!!! I think by the time you’re landing you might be reading this report. See ya again soon amigo!!!!

They (I think I even heard Gerry Lopez quoting this at one point in his life) say that riding in the barrel is like time travel. If this is the case, then this guys’ taking a good look back in time. Hows that view buddy???

You wanna see what a parallel universe looks like in surfing…..?????

Here ya GO!!!!

Wow, what another great day of waves. I’m in awe of this place each day as it never ceases to amaze. Truly a paradise! Aloha and enjoy your week my friends ~!
