AND this is what small fun zone size looks like.

Watch your toes and feet too… I saw one poor hombre get tagged by a sting ray this morning. This is not a normal time for them to come around, could be the onshore winds, but always shuffle them feet people!!!

Casey finding some room out there to spread his wings and fly around! Nice to see 90% of the early August crowds heading back to school, eh Casey???

I think most people took the day as a lay day. This was the only local kid out surfing.

This muchacho has been having a good time here surfing and enjoying the tranquillo vibes of the August part of the season. Ripping buddy!

The lighting and especially the sky was really trippy…. hmmmm?

Well, being that is was so so small, I figured why not take a gander down at the reef. There’s always something more surfable when the waves get too small at the beachie. So I headed down that way.

Sure enough… some waist to chest, maybe even the occasional head high waves were rolling through.

They don’t call it Panga Drops for nothing.

This guy caught the first wave of the set, but maybe he should have waited for the one out the back. Whoa!

Just as I thought to myself, hey, I’m gonna get some really good stuff here today. I turned around a saw this coming very quickly. Needless to say… that’s when my session abruptly came to an end, as I had to bolt it all the way back to the Beach Club, before this thing unloaded all it’s glorious water onto my nice camera and lens. (ps. I made it back ok unscathed from the downpour – incase any of you were wondering??) 🙂
