I just missed Nando and Dania as they were heading home after I was checking it around 4:30. They still had a good time though, but said the waves were a bit weird and super strong side-shore.

Walking down the beach trail, this is what I saw at first. Not a surfer in sight.

Eventually my pal Cesar paddled out. But he must have waited for a decent wave for at least 15 min. Here’s his best sign language for “What the heck dude”!?!?!

Alas. If you’re patient, they will come. Eventually.

Emilien paddled out shortly after Cesar. Check out this mini bomb he stoked into running all the way up to the nose right from the takeoff. Super Sickkkk!

You would think he would kill it over at the reef (which he does) I’ve seen him surf there a bunch on the off season. But he’s just as nimble at the sand bar here as well. I can’t to see him when we start to get some thumping barrels!

Papa Nam gunning it to get around that heaving lip section… Go buddy GO!!!

Following it up very nicely with this sick cutback.

Cesar and Emi trading off waves for the last hour or so of sunlight as the March sun started to make it’s way into the horizon.

Golden hour iPhone portrait. I wonder if they knew I was taking a photo of Danny taking a photo of them? Haha

Normally the lineup would be pretty full already. I’ve seen so many surf spots all over the wold right now on friends posts where it’s firing, but they can’t go surf because it’s illegal for the time being. Luckily we can still surf the waves here!

I’m gonna leave you today with this sunset shot looking out at the last bit of sunlight through these tree branches. Hopefully it will help bring you all a feeling of calmness & peace. Saludos ~
