The wave of the day went by without a surfer in sight.
Ahhh, but to my surprise I saw this one solo dude who paddled out for a couple fun little ones.
But it was a nice day to walk the beach and stretch the legs.
Proud Papa and always stoked to be in the ocean, Cesar teaching the ropes of surfing to his daughter while it’s small and easy to learn on.
Yeaaaaahhhh Dai!!! Soon you’ll be ripping out in the lineup with our papa!
More land exercise is always a good way to stay fit while the surf is flat. Josh and John getting ready for our next big swell.
Since there wasn’t much to report on today, I thought I’d take a trip back through the NSR history memory lane. Let’s see how it looked a few years back starting here with May 3rd in 2019. Not bad compared to today.
Here’s another wave on that same day. Goes to show, this place historically in May usually has some pretty good waves!
Here’s a nice shot from Baldo back in 2018, two years ago over at Rancho Santana. I’d be stoked if we had waves that looked like this today.
How sick looking is this swell from May 3rd in 2017. Parker nabbed this shot and after reading his commentary, I think he got his report finish pronto and paddled out shortly after this.
Another beauty from 2016. Its looking like May 3rd has been consecutively good in terms of waves.
OK….. now we’re talking!!!! This is that bombing swell from 2015. Codo went out on the VA PUE boat and sat in the channel and took over 3000 photos this day.
We’re supposed to be getting our next and possibly biggest swell of the year here in about a week or so. Let’s hope we’ll see the Outer Reef pumping like this.
Manny on a Massive BOMB!
He’s been surfing this spot for a long long time. I’m sure you can count on him being out there when this next swell arrives.
