Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hello, and welcome to your Tuesday surf report. Today welcomed a bit of new swell, but with it also delivered a bit of complicated conditions (and for me) a bit of a conundrum of timing today, as it was periodical of timing. Carlos, pictured here, was the only one to paddle out at 5PM. Click on that “read more” tab if you’d like to see more to the story.
Conditions obviously improved, but yet, there weren’t any surfers to help implement my surf report at the time of shooting.
All eyes on deck!!! Those who know or saw the the conditions that were rapidly improving, were on it!
NMRK, coming in from an outer reef session today. Trust me when I say the people here who are in the know…. are in the know!
Carlos (flash back to the surfer in the first slide) was the only gut to paddle out.
Took full advantage of the empty lineup.
It’s always good to see Jason out there ripping it up. Representing the Santa Marta CREW! Which is pretty much the most local crew we have here. (wanna donate a surfboard to to this local talent (look at his half broken surfboard in the photo). PLEASE make a comment to Mr. Chris or Baldo and they will will arrange the appropriate doings for this local up and comer!
The size was definitely filling in. “Nacho” showing us that riding a bicycle has nothing to do with surfing!
Tony is one of my best friends here – he’s actually one of the first people I met whom shared living behind the lens. He’s also one of the most accomplished watermen here. Don’t believe it? Take a look at my earlier years living here when he charged most of the waves here solo.

Yup…. these are the same exact moves that CT guys are trying to complete. Our Nica brother are doing them, on the REG!!!

Hey amigos! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were smaller today, but the sets still had a bit of size. The conditions were very clean. The smoothest and most well groomed waves that I saw this week.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Tuesday afternoon’s surf report from Colorados. It was likely the last day of large-ish surf for a while. It took patience and good positioning, but there were some great barrels made today.
