Wave riding craft choices were ideal. Surf stoke was as always… mandatory.

If you roll up to a break like this, how would you choose your entry speed??

For my first surf slide of todays report, I’ve gotta give some props to Lindsey. Nabbing one of the best waves of the day and also getting a bit of a sick cover up.

Especially finishing off with this super sick cutback. It’s no wonder everyone here has been frothing on the emptiness of the waves here.

Talk is cheap when it comes to shooting in these waters. Ricky is the man whether it’s 2 feet like today, or 20 feet at the outer reefs around here. He’s got the muscle behind the hustle!

Collaborating with surfers is maybe one of the surf photographers most complicated things when shooting. Everyone wants to get “the shot”.

Don’t forget that you action junkies have 8 + hours to time your sessions. I have to act accordingly… but always keep in mind, 8 + hours in the sun for me means a lot of hard work!

Tati, putting in the time while I’m behind the lens!

How many of you have pondering thoughts on your way out to your surf session? What was the last music tack you listened to? How many stresses do you have in your mind before you hit the calming waters?

Ryan obviously hasn’t a care in the world right about now.

You know that rushing feeling you get on each and every take off, when you see that perfect wave coming to you….? Here’s Danai experiencing just that!

Lucas has been ripping on his new tabla. There’s NO better feeling on the planet (if you’re a surfer) and you have a new surfboard under your feet!

Beach days here are hot, but the vitamin D is paramount which is why we’re always so happy around here!

Grant can attest to pretty much everything I’ve just said!

If there were a “best board award” for todays surf craft selection… John Gillem would be winner #1!

Here’s exhibit A.

and here’s exhibit B.

If you guys need an exhibit C… I might as well throw this one in too!

Like I said…. surf craft decision today was paramount. Devon with most likely a hand shaped design and he’s proudly entering todays surf with all the confidence that he’s made the right choice!

Less rocker equals more paddle power. More volume up front equals an eloquent cheater 5, if you’re keen in doing so!

Need I say more?

Holy Shite Batman! Look who beat all odds of making the airlines look like fools!

If there’s one man with a freaking master plan…. it would certainly be this guy. Bienvenido de nuevo Señor Doan!!!!

Tony Z… this one’s for YOU!!!!

If there were one photo out of all photos today of one surfer who I was glad to see back on a really big stick… it would be this guy! Mr. Russell is an absolute ripper and legend on the LB. Yewwww Chris!!!!

Why do I have a feeling things are about to get a little crazy around here????? If you know…. you know!

Well, I always hate to end any surf report, as I feel like there should be more. But this is my full tank of gas. Let’s see how far we can go on it for the rest of the week. Saludos all my amigos ~
