Hey there amigos, Happy Monday to ya’ll! Weeeee had some small but still plenty of fun waves out there for the taking around the mid tide. Come on in and check it out!
Ok, maybe small should have been accentuated a tad more, but as you can see, it would have to be completely flat to keep Josh out of the water.
Wait…. WHAT>>>??? Is that Baldo getting a little shampoo?? Must be ducha Lunes!
The great part about jumping in the water, even when it’s small…. is that is such a good way to cool off! Today was a bit of a scorcher.
Soft tops and barrels are kind of an oxymoron, that is unless you’re JOB, or JOSH!
You can really tell a lot about a waves personality. Especially when it’s small and still looks like how you would want it to be when it’s double overhead. Imagine if you were a rodent here…. this would be like maxing Pipe! Jaja
Kai is a lot like Bruce Lee…. he makes his craft look like anyone can just pick up a pair of num chucks and swing away. What people don’t see is all the countless days and hours of waves he puts in surfing every single day.
I think once things pick back up this week, swell-wise, we can all sigh a little breath of fresh air. Who’s over these micro-waves???
OK Dario, I have a challenge for you for this funk’d up 2020. I wanna see you get barreled (and no 3 footer – I’m talking solid 6 foot +) on a LONG BOARD before October! 🙂

Tati, hmmmm let’s see….. I think your challenge will be to up your game with this next big swell. I know you’ve got it in you. Let’s see you aim for your best tubo ever! Just remember to breathe out there. It’s all about having fun!
Pretty rad setup here (in Nica-Land), the kiddos doing different extracurricular activities every day of the week while the classroom is closed for now. Today was horse back riding with the ever so amazing Megan. Ryder and Momma Aga taking advantage of an absolutely gorgeous day at the playa with classmates.
Maestro Dereck, giving his own private class. Terra looks very engaged. Hmmmm…. if I could be a fly on his cool psychedelic shirt!
Derek is like a wave whisperer. Seriously. I think he can channel the oceans energy in ways we haven’t been able to adapt to quite yet.

Or Upside down surfing……. I think it’s safe to say that today was pretty fun out there!
And just like that… Monday comes and its back to being like a ghost town. Let’s power through this week so we can get to some fun and greatly anticipated new swell before this next weekend! See ya out there mañana ~(**quick last minute Ed Note Update for the locals here – mañana there’s another scheduled power outage from 9am-3pm, so it’s looking to be a good beach day and no reason to be indoors)… see you out in the lineup!
