Somewhere in Nicaragua
Howdy & welcome to the Monday surf report friends. We had some really fun waves out there today. A little bit of morning sickness and high tide at first light, but once the day progressed and the tide was going out, it only got better and better. Check it!
JG on his last wave of the morning. Its like a changing of the guards here as each hour passes. Especially when the waves are good pretty much the entire day!
Emilio back for the month and stoked to be in one of the best places in Latin America, if not the world even for waves right now!
Who says Cesar only surfs in the afternoon? Cause when the waves are good…. nobody works (except me of course) haha!

And there’s a bigger swell going soon too, which I know is going to froth out a lot of people here… including this guy!
How do you like you morning coffee? Down here it’s not really about black or with cream or sugar, its more about before or after you surf?
I’m sure Colin is a before he hits the surf with his coffee in hand to check it. But I wouldn’t know about today as he was already out there, ripping, before I got down there.
Tony’s not a coffee guy. He’s a smoothie guy… and when I say smoothie, he’s pretty smooth with everything he does. Be it surfing, shooting sick water shots, heck even with the ladies, he’s a pretty smooth operator! jaja
This is Oscar. He’s been gone for a little while (as I mentioned yesterday – him and his brother Lesther were held up in Guatemala for a bit of some time). But he was back and completely on fire today!
Mr. Kev just won the Snapt movie challenge with an amazing pull of friends and family votes on social media. Can’t wait to see what he’ll throw down in the upcoming movie!
Good to see all “the local boys” out and killing it together once again. Jackson and the others love to push each others surfing to the extreme anytime they ever paddle out. Today was one of those days.
Lesther opting to go over rather than under and inside this barrel. Then again, he likes his barrels big…. like really really big!
MHO this stretch of beach has some of the most talented surfers in all of Nicaragua.
They don’t need very much of an explanation as they let their surfing do most of the talking.
Derek was out there mixing it up with the local talent as well…. holding his own, while navigating through the minefield.
When a wave like this gives you a closeout, always answer back with something that shows you mean business! Matty squaring off and showing Mr. Closeout not to act a fool!
OK… well if it looks like this again tomorrow, it’s certainly going to be another great day of waves. Let’s hope so! See ya out there for the Tuesday report mañana ~

Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!
