PLAYA SANTANA
Hello everyone, this is Baldo back with Wednesday’s surf report, and looks like I brought back with me the onshore winds. Take a look.
I’ve been out of commission because I sprained my left knee surfing 3 weeks ago, and it’s really hard to walk on the sand with crutches and a camera.
With today’s onshore, Santana beach had some funky peaks and just 5 local kids doing the best they could with the conditions.
Big thanks to Chris and Brian for covering the last 3 Wednesdays on the surf report duties while I was resting my knee… I owe you big time guys!
First peak was barely appearing, between the wind and the swell direction, it was a messy, crumbly wave.
The surfers were mainly catching the rights by the middle of the beach… by the time they did a bottom turn after the drop, the wave got fat and pretty much dissapeared.
No matter the conditions, surfing with your friends is always great, you can (almost) crash together and nobody gets mad.
Also, your friends will always cheer you up even on the smallest, ugliest waves.
One good thing about having onshore winds once in a while is that it’s a great opportunity for the local fishermen to go out and get a good amount of good size fish. I’ll have to check with them tomorrow morning for some fresh catch.That’s it for today’s report, hopefully tomorrow the wind will turn around for more good waves and barrels. Cheers!

Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. The small “gap” days are here! Funnily enough there were still some mini-drainers at Colorados this Wednesday morning.

Welcome to the Sunday surf report. Waves were in the small fun zone and a couple showers came through (which we can probably expect a little more of this week) but with that said, we also have a few bumps in swell; one tomorrow and a substantially larger swell by the end of this week…
