Some nice size was roping in at the reef. Which was why I chose to go there first.

Doc Hunt, always on the hunt for the best waves of the day.

He’s a morning person, so you’ll almost always likely see him out there around first light. But don’t get me wrong. He’ll surf anytime of the day. He just knows this time of the season, the morning has the best chances before the winds go nuclear.

Mr. Jack is back and surfing in one of his favorite paces on the planet.

He’s super well traveled, so it’s saying something when he pretty much calls Nicaragua his second home.

But with waves like this practically year round, who wouldn’t want to have this as a home base throughout the year.

I was taking a glance down at Colorados and it looked like there might have been some potential…. so I decided to take a little stroll down that way, since it was still pretty early.

Rolling up, I found that it was actually a bit better than the far pulled back angle.

Not as big as PD’s, but the tapering waist to chest high barrels were almost perfect.

And with only a couple people out too!

There are a lot of places in the world right now where the thought of even going outside is just ridiculous, because it’s too cold out. It’s better to stay inside and crawl up under the covers and stay nice and warm with the outside temps in some places below freezing. Here’s our version of pulling up under the covers and keeping, not warm, but simply out of the sun.

If and when the next good swell hits, we’ll all be stoked to be able to have stand up barrels again. It’s not really even a mater of if… it’s just when???

Only a few dudes out and once the noodle arms have set in, it’s already time to go have some desayuno ya!

Peeking in on and leaving the little prefect waves is never an easy task…. but at least here, there’s always the afternoon session to look forward to! Time for some huevos, tocino y gallo pinto y si tienes suerte, unos deliciosos maduros dulces! Buen dia amigos ~
