Checked a few times to see that there weren’t any takers for the surf. (at least when I was checking it)

The only ones out were the birds… Haha!

Midday and were is everybody??? Heck where are the waves???

Came back a little later to still see that no-one wanted to paddle out, but the beach scene people were starting to make their way down to the playa.

I actually stumbled of what reminded me of being back in LA where I worked for 10 years in the film industry.

Ok, well this wasn’t quite as extravagant and big budget, but I do give them props for their production team. The winds were really blowing side shore, so I know how difficult is must have been to work in todays windy conditions.

Making my way over to the beach club, I thought I’d check it out and see what was going on over there. Mr. Chris serving up a slice of his homemade Russell Volleyball pie!

and after that nice return from the Koji and Yugi team, Baldo (far left) set it up perfectly for Chris to lay the hammer down on this return spike!

It was literally only seconds after I gave Chris a fist bump for that awesome V-ball display for me and my camera, that he pointed quickly and said “looks like someone is about to go paddle out”… so I jammed right on over to the waters edge to find “The dude” getting out there to catch a couple (despite the crummy conditions).

I waited patently as I wanted to make for sure I had some kind of surfing on the report today. Cesar on the softy, but pulling off what Seth (who was standing right next to me) and I both agreed that he was going to pearl on this one!!!

But nope… jajajaja he totally pulled it off and rode it all the way in.

So it all ended up turning out just like another one of our many Sunday Fundays out there, minus some good waves. But like I said earlier, the beach life was happening! Buenas noches amigos ~
RECENT REPORTS

Happy Tuesday, The swell picked up overnight as forecasted. We have some slightly overhead sets. Still a bit inconsistent but some good waves when they come. @tonyzphotos reporting.
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Welcome this morning with a smile! I got down to the beach a couple of hours before high tide and the waves looked fun :p

Happy Thursday everyone, this is Baldo with today’s report from Santana beach. As you can see, the strong offshores are back and the waves are small… but what it’s small for someone, it’s big for others. Take a look.

Whatup guys. Better late than never eh? Kevin here with today’s report. There’s really no other way to put it, Playa Colorado was firing today. I guess you could say the first solid swell of the season hit yesterday and into today. It was messy and disorganized, and the sandbar isn’t quite 100% finished, but..
