This place has corners and shoulders and peaks a plenty from every angle.

Liam maybe, or most likely surfing into his third or fourth straight hour from early to late morning session. The kid logs a lot of water time… which is why his surfing game is gaining leaps and bounds each and every day.

It was a good day for everyone, every level of surfing to be out enjoying the nice warm water which was actually a tad cooler than the outside air temperature, so being out in the surf was a good way to keep cool also while keeping active today!

Lucas stoked to be back surfing in the peak season once again.

(Now) Big John has come such a long way all the way back from when he was a little guy doing pop shuvit’s on his boogie-skim board in the shore break.

Sunday Fundays are an actual real thing here. I never once was just making that double two word rhyming phrase up just for fun. Pretty much everyone here takes Sunday off and it’s 99.9% an all out beach day.

Chocoyo actually does work on Sunday. Matter a fact, his boss was out there too in the lineup, but he didn’t see Elvin. When he asked me what time it was, Chocoyo was in the clear as it was exactly noon and he was spending his lunchtime munching on some rather nice looking edible lefts!

Emi… Gotcha buddy! Now I’m in the clear for a day or two until I miss his next session. (Haha – total inside joke) Gotta keep on the ball with El Jefe! The dude’s literally a surfing aqua man!

Speaking of Aqua Man, meet Jett, the mini me version of Papa Aqua Man!

Who said it’s ever too late to try your hand at surfing. Miki bout to get her first taste for surfing AND how cool is it that it’s going to be done by none other than her two up and coming Colorado’s ripping regular gremmy shredders Koji and Yuji to help out mama bear….. talk about one of the best mother day gifts any mom could ask for!

This is Miki’s VERY first wave of her life (that I know of – correct me if I’m wrong later kiddos) but you’re witnessing Miki looking like a complete natural and just by seeing the surf stoke on her face… I think she’ll be online looking for her own chica shred stick for her very own solo sessions soon enough!!!!

Looked kinda fun today yeah???

Some of the upper league guys like Zane here, down the way were putting on a good show for everyone watching from the beach.

Vertical is vertical…. however vertical on a board like this is next level and the equivalent would be like cutting open a tree to see how many rings there are in the center and you would be able to know pretty much how old or long that tree has been around. This vertical tree would have many a rings and has seen A LOT of waves and surf spots, that’s all I can say!!!!

Mr. Chis cross stepping his way ALWAYS into something interesting and exciting…. you guys wanna play,…. “Let’s guess what Mr. Chris is working his way up the runway of that airplane wing and what do you think he’s got planned next..?????????

Well, if you know Chris and you know him well, then you would have guessed it’d had to be one of his classic grab rail at the nose and pull off an epic handstand while surfing on a moving wave….. take a moment to think about all that and let that sink in for your own personal balancing act issues. Yeaaaah, he definitely makes it look pretty easy….. way too easy!!!!

RECENT REPORTS

Hey everyone! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still head-high waves on the sets, but it was a wait between the stronger sets. Keith setting up for a left set-wave here.

Hey everyone! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. The wind was onshore again today, but it was actually cleaner than most of the day yesterday. At least it was more manageable.

Hey everyone! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Colorados. The swell head steady from yesterday, but unfortunately the wind got on it by 10:30am. There was an afternoon rain shower and I came back around sunset after the rain to find that it had cleaned..
FROM THE ARCHIVES

All the surfers were waking up this morning like kids on Christmas, we weren’t sure what was waiting for us when we went downstairs. We just knew it was gonna be something good.
