Somewhere in Nicaragua
Welcome to the Monday surf report! Today we saw some really super fun waves mid morning around the mid tide going out. Quite a few more people out than yesterday but the waves were even a little better to accommodate the crowd. Click on that “read more” button to check it out!
This seasons swells have certainly not disappointed. Most of May was in the well overhead range… so by the looks of it, we will be going into June with plenty more really good waves!

Still no shortage of groms, or groms that rip for that matter.
Oscar has since upgraded from young grom a few years ago, but his surfing even now as a young man, he still has the froth and energy like the first days he hit these waves about a decade ago, which if my match is on… that should put him as a beginner surfer right around 10-12 yo range? I’m guessing.
Young man or not, Oscar still likes to play hide’n’seek… only his hiding spots have consequence, especially when he’s out there playing in the double overhead XL swells!!!
Standing tall, even though this one’s not by ay means huge. But if you can stand erect without even squatting shows 100% of your comfort level on any wave that’s throwing over your head.
Billy Anderson get’s a hall pass with this sick very similar Laird Hamilton millennium wave lay back…. you all remember that game changing wave at Teahupo’o. Btw, Billy surfs waves all over the world including here that have the same danger factor and he surfs all of them with great poise and an indescribable comfort level that’s well….. certainly NEXT level.
If the waves continue on this way, we might just see one of the best seasons consecutively prefect and might be one of the best season for the books!
Carlitos can concur to that last statement. Everyone knows we sorta got short changed around the end of July last season…. here’s to crossing our fingers for an EPIC 2021!!!! Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Fourth! Saturday’s report is coming your way from Colorados as per usual. It was smaller today, but very shreddable. Still a few tubitos too.
Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!
Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. I saw some of the biggest sets of the year today. There were epic moments, but it was still a bit slow between the high quality waves.

Bienvenidos to the Sunday surf report. Well… all that low pressure system hanging out off our coast finally made landfall today. Looks like we’ll still have some rainy days ahead for a few more and with that the winds will be tore up too. But I think there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Happy TGIF surf fans! That’s right… it’s your favorite day of the week and we had some sunny sky’s with some chunky fat surf pounding the beaches. Drop on in!
