Somewhere in Nicaragua
Bienvenido to the Sunday Funday surf report day of the week! And it was just that too!!!! Super mega fun. From what looked like a couple days of unruly weather and un-fun surf, today sure made up for every single bit of it and then some! It was on fire pretty much the entire day. Check it out ~
From rainy sloppy onshore to this… YES PLEASE!!!!
Everyone and in-between those that are the goofy footers and regular footers were beyond stoked when they woke and or eventually got to the beach today.
Because it was like this and I didn’t get down to the beach until around 8:30am which around here is late. LOL
If you want to talk about anything being late. This whole sequence which I really wish I could post the entire thing, is just absolutely NUTS! Basically he was about 10-15 feet behind this runaway freight train (as in, he pretty much missed the bus on this one) and then actually and I don’t know how he did it, but he outran the exploding lip and got under that thing to get fully shacked (as you can see in this frame). Maybe I need to post up this sequence later. It was pure magician work (expert level barrel riding sh!t!), I’m telling you!!

all the way through the wave to the end, it was an epic day to be surfing this beach break today!
A bit overhead and not too heavy today, would be an understatement.
So deep and hollow and kinda beautifully mean and spitting all at the same time.
From both ends!
Even though the crowd factor was high, there was still some room out there from show off some nice rail game.
There was every level out there today. This one’s obviously in the upper echelon.

It was the perfect angel from anywhere you were at and or looking from.
I wonder how many people who surfed out there today and it was in Nicaragua for their first time in their life??? Hahahaha What an introduction, I tell you!
Aaaaaand of course, there was a lot of heartbreaks out there that came with all the glorious tubos. Just be glad it’s our replaceable board and not a body part. Trust me on that one!
Super heavy rotation with people in the lineup literally all day long. It was that good! Let’s see how tomorrow pans out. I’m hoping a repeat and I’m definitely gonna be a little more punctual. It’s a cloudy sky Saturday with a bit more swell in the water today. There were lots of peeling waves with some fast barreling sections that were proving tough to make but if you played your cards right and picked the right wave you’d have a nice little barrel on your plate for the brunch..
