Somewhere in Nicaragua
Happy Friday everyone! The surf was small today and it was pretty nice clean and fun conditions, but there’s always something to do, be it surfing tiny waves, or finding other things to do while we wait for some more swell.
Taking off deep….. real deep, waaaaaaay down the beach.
I think today would have been the perfect day to take out a log and ride waves all the way into the beach.
But for those who were out there still managing to catch waves like this on their shortboards was pretty impressive!
John here has the right idea. Giving a surf lesson on a perfect day for learning. Check out John giving his years of his experience to this young and eager looking beginner.

Here’s how Hunter and his huge family and friends found a better way to spend the late afternoon while taking a little break from the surf.
Still a few head high waves coming through every now and then.
Otherwise, this was about how more realistic it looked out there while I was down there shooting. 1-2 but tropical and nice warm water. What more can you ask for (aside from bigger waves)?
I’m hoping, just as much as this unknown shredder is as well, that August will produce more nice clean swell like it usually does in past years.
Looking for barrels out there today was a bit of a pipe dream.
But if you’re here and you’re a little bit patient, it’ll come!

Howdy surf fans, welcome to the Tuesday surf report. It was a scorcher out there today! Weather-wise and swell-wise. We had some pretty fun front runners from this new swell that was forecast to be arriving tomorrow. I don’t think anyone can ever complain when waves actually arrive earlier than predicted. Either way, come on..
Happy Monday everyone, welcome to another day at the beach here in Colorado. The waves dropped in size considerably but the conditions were really nice.
