PLAYA SANTANA
It’s Friday the 13th and according to the superstition today is considered an unlucky day… but if you are in Nicaragua, and you are a surfer, and you surfed at Santana beach this afternoon… you were a lucky guy! Check it out!
The waves were pumping and the rides and the barrels were awesome, everyone was having aa great time.
The wedgy A-frames were popping everywhere along the beach, so many peaks to pick from.
There is a guy deep inside that barrel, can you see the tip of the board and his hang guiding the way out?
Elyin “El Pro” of course was out there running the show, picking the best waves and getting the best barrels and turns.
The only woman today was on a boogieboard, and she is charger! I saw her yesterday at Colorado dropping on a few bombs!
Her friend, which is also a charger, was killing it at these wedges, dropping late and going full speed down the line.
And doing big airs with full rotations every possible chance. Santana is ideal for boogieboarders!
Actually, is ideal for everyone… how many of you have surfed here and had an amazing session?
And from the ones that had surfed here, how many of you have experienced going over the falls on a good one?
It’s been a while since the last time a surfed Santana, I’m glad a decided to come today… besides good photos I also had a great session before the tide got too high.

Hey everyone! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. There was a window early today and right at sunset. At mid-day when I took pictures the wind kicked up making for better turn sections than tubes. Still a few if you knew where to look.

Welcome back for Thursday’s surf report! Should be seeing some new swell start to fill in this weekend, but today we are between swells so the waves were down a bit. Nonetheless at Panga Drops there are always waves to surf.
